Writing from the deep:

Workshop series

EB.jpg

Begins Saturday, May 15, 2021

Many of us have stories buried deep within. We might have an urge or yearning to

express ourselves in writing, but don't know where to start. How do we channel the creative energy brewing inside? How do we know when we have found the right voice and vision to express what we're trying bring forth into the world? How do we blast through creative barriers and blocks?

Creativity through writing can be elusive and challenging, but there are ways to overcome barriers, fear, or anything else that might be holding you back.

In this workshop series, we will work toward learning how to tap into the creative

channel that lives in us all. These classes are especially good for beginners, but more advanced writers will also find the lessons, tips, and tools presented here useful.

If you have any questions about the workshop, please email echo@echobrown.com.

CLASS STRUCTURE:

This workshop series will consist of three classes, listed below. You can participate in one or all of the workshops depending on your specific needs. All workshops will be recorded live with Echo teaching a lesson, guiding discussion amongst the group, and giving allotted time for writing.

Students are expected to share some of their work with other participants, as you feel comfortable. In addition to reading and commenting on the words of their fellow writers, students will be required to read a few texts on craft, at times supplemented with an explanatory presentation, while other times being invited to analyze their own works through those literary lenses.
